For ages, swallow nests have been known for top nutritional values and ranked among the 8 most fabulous dishes. As they were rare and very hard to get, in the past only royal families had the privilege to enjoy them.
A nest is formed as follows: Birds of the aerodramus fuciphagus germani group stretch their glue-like saliva into threads and attach them to a rock wall of a cave to start making the base.
