adminThe Global Gate Ha Long ESG++ Marathon 2026 – Run for Net Zero will officially take place on October 11, 2026, at the Vinhomes Global Gate Ha Long mega-urban area, Quang Ninh Province. Carrying the message “Run Among the Wonders – Touch the Records – Run for Net Zero”, the tournament is expected to attract 15,000 athletes.
The Global Gate Ha Long ESG++ Marathon 2026 is organized by Duc Huong Anh Co., Ltd. (DHA Vietnam), one of Vietnam’s leading, prestigious, and professional sports event organizers.
The racecourse starts from Thien Duong Avenue out to the 60m-wide Apollo Avenue within the Vinhomes Global Gate Ha Long coastal mega-urban area, crossing the coastal road along the bay with three competitive distances: 21km – 10km – 3km. To ensure the best experience for athletes participating in the inaugural season, the Organizing Committee will deploy these 3 race distances. With a terrain embracing the world heritage bay, this is designated as one of the most impressive running courses, offering not only a “running among the wonders” experience but also absolute safety, making it a course that any marathoner would wish to conquer and experience at least once in a lifetime.
The Global Gate Ha Long ESG++ Marathon 2026 aims to set meaningful records. On the racecourse planned within Vinhomes Global Gate Ha Long – the first ESG++ mega-urban area developed according to ISO 37125 standards for sustainable urban and community development – athletes will compete on wide, flat road surfaces with few turns and controlled traffic, creating favorable conditions to conquer Personal Records (PR).
Alongside the unique heritage course, the Global Gate Ha Long ESG++ Marathon 2026 carries a special message: “Run for Net Zero” – running for a clean atmosphere. Athletes will wear shirts bearing the “Run for Net Zero” message, aiming to establish a Vietnamese record for the largest number of runners together spreading the message of green living, accompanying Vietnam’s goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.
“With the message ‘Run Among the Wonders – Touch the Records – Run for Net Zero’, the Organizing Committee aims to spread the message of the similarity between the spirit of endurance sports and the journey to realize the Net Zero goal – which requires the persistence, steadfastness, and long-term efforts of the entire society. The image of tens of thousands of athletes running together along the Ha Long Bay coastal route in ‘Run for Net Zero’ shirts is expected to become a symbol of action for communities in Vietnam toward promoting Vietnamese culture and tourism and spreading the lifestyle of sustainable green living to the global community,” shared Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Tri, General Director of DHA Vietnam.
Not only participating in the race, upon arriving at Vinhomes Global Gate on October 10–11, 2026, athletes and their families can also take part in a series of weekend connection activities such as vibrant music nights, family games, and dazzling fireworks displays… creating a connection between sports, modern urban experiences, and environmental responsibility.
