
Vietnam Heritage Magazine, under the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Association, in collaboration with the “Gen Z di sản” (Heritage Gen Z) student group from the FPT University Communications department, officially launched the Vietnam Heritage Photo Awards 2025 – “Touch Heritage, feel individuality”.
The competition is organized to commemorate the 80th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh signing the first Decree on heritage preservation (November 23, 1945 – November 23, 2025) and the 20th anniversary of Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day. This is a significant and practical activity aimed at honoring the natural and cultural heritage values of Vietnam, while igniting pride, responsibility for preservation, and spreading the love for heritage to both domestic and international communities.
Objectives and Theme
With the theme “Touch Heritage, feel individuality”, the Vietnam Heritage Photo Awards 2025 aims to honor and spread Vietnamese heritage through the creative perspectives of heritage – loving photographers.

The competition encourages the exploration and depiction of the diverse beauty of Vietnamese heritage, including nature, customs and traditions, festivals, traditional crafts, folk music, architecture, historical relics, and green actions for the environment.
Furthermore, the contest serves as a creative playground, connecting young people to discover and tell heritage stories through innovative and unique photographic lenses. It also aims to serve the community and education, with exhibitions of outstanding works being held at schools, museums, and tourist centers across the three regions of Vietnam, contributing to raising public awareness and love for heritage.
Eligibility and Prize Structure

The Vietnam Heritage Photo Awards 2025 welcomes the participation of all photography enthusiasts, regardless of professional status or nationality, whether they are Vietnamese citizens or foreigners. The Organizing Committee especially encourages students and young people belonging to the Gen Z generation (aged 18 to 28) to actively participate, aiming to spread the love for heritage through their unique and fresh perspectives.
This year’s competition features two main categories with an attractive prize structure:
Category A: Vietnam Heritage Photo Awards 2025
- 1 Gold Medal
- 2 Silver Medals
- 3 Bronze Medals
- 10 Consolation Prizes
Category B: Junior Vietnam Heritage Photo Awards (for Gen Z, 18-28 years old)
- 1 Gold Medal
- 2 Silver Medals
- 3 Bronze Medals
- 10 Consolation Prizes
Award-winning photographers will receive Medals, Certificates, and valuable gifts from individuals and organizations supporting the competition.
Timeline, Submission Format, and Rules
The Organizing Committee officially opens the submission portal from October 15, 2025, until the end of November 11, 2025. Authors can easily submit their photos online on the official contest website: https://5wp.vn/thi-anh/vietnamheritage-2025.
Regarding the work requirements, each author is allowed to submit a maximum of 10 works (including single photos or photo sets). Photos must be in JPEG format, 300dpi resolution, with a maximum size of 5Mb per work, and must be accompanied by full captions. Notably, works created using AI technology will not be accepted by the Organizing Committee. The detailed regulations of the competition are attached.
Exhibitions and Award Ceremony
Following the judging round, an estimated 80 of the best works will be selected for display in a series of exhibitions serving the community and education. This series of exhibitions is scheduled to take place from November 2025 to February 2026 at schools, museums, and tourist centers across the three regions of the country, contributing to the spread of heritage values. The Award Announcement is expected to be held on November 23, 2025, at a university with a tradition of preserving and cherishing Vietnamese cultural heritage.
